These cards were produced in 1909-1911, and were included in packs of Sweet Caporal cigarettes.The T206 Eddie Plank was part of the same set as the Honus Wagner, which had a total of 526 cards. In a recent private sale, a high grade example of this card sold for over $700,000. This is often described as Mickey Mantle’s rookie card, because it was his first card in a set produced by Topps. Actually, Mantle’s real rookie card was part of the 1951 Bowman set. However, the 1952 Topps card is much more valuable, with a gem mint example selling for $2.88 million in 2018.This is widely considered to be Babe Ruth’s rookie card. One was sold for $717,000.This card was produced in a limited edition of 25 cards in 2009. In 2010, one of these sold for $550. By 2018, the price had risen to an amazing $186,550.
