Following our game against the 1969 Chicago Cubs in January 1983, Allan Goldin scheduled a followup game in July , to be played at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Our game started at 1:00 in the afternoon, immediately ahead of the regularly scheduled game between the 1983 Cubs and the New York Mets. Prior to our game, we shared the visitors’ locker room with the Mets. I shared a locker with Jesse Orosco, and had a chance to talk with Rusty Staub and Tom Seaver, both of whom were very cordial. I asked Seaver a number of questions about pitching fundamentals, and he answered all of them in great detail, which I appreciated very much.
